Mode of Action: Difenacoum is a multi-feed second generation anticoagulant which is effective against rats and mice. Although a multi-feed bait, rats and mice can easily consume a lethal dose in a single days feeding. Anticoagulants work by reducing the ability of the rodents blood to clot. As with all anticoagulants, accidental poisoning with difenacoum can be antidoted with Vitamin K1, however the correct use and placement of the bait will greatly minimise the risk of poisoning non-target animals.
Lethal Doses:
250g rat – 8-10g / daily food consumption approx: 30g
25g mouse – 0.4-0.5g / daily food consumption approx: 3g
ROBAN is supplied in a range of extremely palatable and efficacious formulations in various pack sizes which typically includes individual sachets, pots and buckets with tamper evident lids and, where appropriate, 20kg polypropylene sacks.
All of the above ready for use formulations contains 50 ppm difenacoum and 10 ppm of the human aversive agent denatonium benzoate. All PelGar baits contain an indicator dye which not only helps to avoid confusion with foodstuffs but also feeds through the rodent and can be seen in the faeces once a lethal dose has been consumed.
The baits are formulated using the highest-grade human foodstuff ingredients together with taste adjuvants to improve bait ‘take’ and bio-stats to inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria.
